2 many minutes.... have passed...

When someone plans a vacation abroad the last thing in one's mind is...
“This is the last flight of your lifetime”.

Such was the case of an older gentleman and his wife as they arrived @ the International Airport.
As they exit their flight and had 2 get to the second level... the escalator was “out of service”.
The man climbed the steps anyway... only 2 collapse @ the top. His wife cried for help...
An arriving flight crew heard the commotion and rushed to help the couple.
As they assessed the situation... it was clear 2 them; he was suffering a heart attack.
“Let’s start CPR” “Call 911... he needs an ambulance...
The captain started mouth2mouth; a flight attendant; the chest compressions.
“We need someone 2 get the defibrillator from the crew lounge.” Another flight attendant rushed out 2 get this at the other terminal.
Minutes pass... still nothing... continue CPR....
His wife is calling out to him... no response... minutes have passed...
They hooked up the machine... it read “not ready 2 shock... continue CPR.... minutes pass... no response...

The paramedics arrived... 2 many minutes... had passed by...
The color in this mans' face... had changed.

A flight attendant said 2 me.
“I had never seen someone die... ‘til then”.
Her friend & crew member said “I removed this gentleman shoes... as I did with the Captain months ago... What does this mean???”

{the Captain was the reason why they got a defibrillator 4 the crew lounge. He had a heart attack & died while waiting 4 an ambulance to get there.}

2 many minutes .... have passed...
And no matter how hard one try... the emotional scar is there... weather you have the best intention @ heart. Still... for that long moment... UR > UR.
There’s something seriously wrong with the emergency service system if the person is already decease by the time they get to them.
2 many minutes .... had passed by...

With the best insurance money can buy or "public option" What good is it 4 if you can’t get professional help when is needed?

Then... 2 many minutes .... had passed by...
2 hard 2 take 2 heart.
